To register as a student member with the Association, an applicant must be an undergraduate or a graduate of any College or University or its equivalent. 

Membership is limited to 3 years in total within which the student member is expected to have become an Associate member of ACCSA Global by Examination.

Entry requirements

i. Student Membership Fee & Registration $70 (USD)

ii. Provisional Admission letter or Statement of Result/Discharge Certificate,

iii. Letter from the university verifying enrollment, and/or  a valid ID Card.

An applicant can become an Associate Member of the Association by Examination or Exemption.

1. Membership by Examination

Qualified applicants are the Student Members of the Association or Graduates of Accounting-related fields in any recognized Colleges and Universities, who has less than 10 years postgraduate experience and no professional qualification.

– Certified copies of graduate/postgraduate certificates (not applicable to student member).
– Photocopied or scanned copy of receipt evidencing payment into the Association’s bank account – For offline payment.

The professional examination courses to be written are:

  • i. Accounting Information Technology
  • ii. International Reporting Standards
  • iii. Computer and Digital Forensics 
  • iv. Professional Skills and Ethics
  • v. Performance Management System
  • vi. Financial Management System
The 6 courses are to be written all together in a 90 minutes 150 Multiple-Choice questions examination.
 
ACCSA Global Examinations are taken four (4) times in a year (quarterly), and within the last week of every quarter. The examination portal will be opened for a 24-hour period on the particular day in the quarter.
 

Pass mark 
A candidate must score a minimum of 75 marks out of 150  – equivalent to 50% – or higher to pass the examination.
Candidates who pass the exam are granted the CCSA designation ONLY after the Certificate of membership is approved by the ACCSA Global Board.

Retaking the Examination
A candidate scoring below the pass mark has not passed the exam and therefore can retake it by re-registering and paying a discounted examination fee of $150 USD only.

Score Report
A preliminary score showing pass/fail report will be received by candidates immediately at the conclusion of their exam and also via the email address used to register in their ACCSA Global profile.

Course Award
Once you have completed the professional examination you are at the final step towards ACCSA Global membership. You will therefore receive a certificate of membership after you have obtained the required pass mark of the examination.

 

2. Membership by Exemption (Associate)

Applicants with certificates of approved professional accountancy bodies are eligible to apply for direct membership (Associate), and are expected to take a compulsory practical refresher course which is a requisite for certification to become an associate member of the Association.

Entry Requirements
i. Certified copies of graduate/postgraduate certificates.
ii. Professional Certificate(s).
iii. Photocopied or scanned copy of receipt evidencing payment into the Association’s bank account – For offline payment.

After verification by the Association, the applicant is expected to pay the sum of $400 (Four Hundred US Dollars) comprising of the following

Refresher Course Fee$50

An annual subscription fee of $50 (USD) is payable by every member with the ACCSA Global designations.

 

Course Award

Once you have completed the Refresher Course you are at the final step towards ACCSA Global membership. You will therefore receive a Certificate of Membership by the approval of the Board.

Applicants with minimum of 10 years working experience in accountancy and other related professions with certificates of approved professional bodies are expected to take a compulsory practical refresher course which is a requisite for certification to become a fellow member of the Association.
